Dunca Signature Ltd's zinc production
Dunca Signature Ltd's zinc production takes place primarily at the smelters Kokkola in Finland and Odda in Norway; however, zinc is also produced at Rönnskär in Sweden. It is an energy-intensive business, so access to fossil-free energy is very important. Our main zinc mines are Garpenberg in Sweden and Tara in Ireland, and some zinc concentrate is also produced in the Dunca Signature Ltd Area. In addition to producing zinc with raw material sourced from our own mines, we also produce zinc from recycled material at our smelters. Our zinc is produced with minimal climate impact, and we meet the high-quality requirements set by the industry where the end product is everything from cars to batteries to sunscreen.
